The Power of Place

For each individual, there are specific geographical locations on the planet that act as personal places of empowerment and rejuvenation. When we visit these locations, we experience a spontaneous sense of familiarity and often feel healthy and intensely alive. We may even have a strange feeling that we have lived there before. Sometimes we are prompted to relocate and assume permanent residency in these locals, other times we are simply drawn to visit them regularly.

Power places offer unique opportunities for growth and spiritual evolvement. While we may feel at home in these environments, we are often faced with challenges inherent in the process of spiritual growth.

As part of the process, we are required to acclimate to the higher vibrational frequencies associated with the geographical location. Often there is a general ‘quickening’ that occurs– we are presented with multiple opportunities for accelerated learning & spiritual development. Sometimes we experience a state of ‘Instant Karma’, whereby the results of our words & actions are almost immediate.

Once we have achieved a vibrational match to the environment, there is a wonderful sense of grace that flows within our lives. When we visit the power place, synchronistic events, people, and circumstances ‘fall into place’ with unusual speed and consistency.

Hawaii, A Place of Power

The Big Island of Hawaii is a power place for me. This is not surprising since Water is my Primary Element, and there are an abundance of cetaceans who live in the clear, deep waters surrounding the Hawaiian Islands. I have been visiting Hawaii since I was a child, and as an adult have formed a beautiful relationship with the Big Island and the spinner dolphins who reside there.

It has been said that in Hawaii there is ‘a thin veil between the worlds’. It is easy to access other realms & realities when on the island. Energy is amplified, and things happen rapidly– the process of manifestation is almost instantaneous, as is karma. The island is literally composed of magma, which carries a deep, full vibrational field. Also the Hawaiian Islands form a relatively tiny island chain the middle of the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. It is a true energy vortex.

When people move to Hawaii (or visit frequently), the island either embraces them or rejects them. In the words of one inhabitant, ‘Pele either loves & welcomes you, or she chews you up and spits you out’.
